VSOP Studios was created in 2015 by Matt Hennessy, a Chicago-based Producer and Mix Engineer with formal training from Berklee College of Music. Matt studied Jazz Performance and Production before spending two decades behind the board with some of the best talent in the music business—from Beyoncé and Jay-Z to DMX and Twista.

Our studio is built around a rare one-of-a-kind analog console, vintage gear, world-class instruments, and meticulously designed rooms. But Sound Better is more than equipment—it's a philosophy. We believe the artist's vision is the most important ingredient in creating great records, and our team works tirelessly to bring that vision to life.

Today, VSOP Studios operates multiple production rooms and is fully equipped with a Genelec 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos setup for spatial audio mixing. Our roster spans every genre, and our team—including Studio Manager Ty Caughell and Producer/Engineer Galaxy Francis—continues to craft exceptional sound for both emerging and established artists.
